A wedding band signifies the unending love shared between two people. Usually, after many years of wear, a wedding band is scratched, dented, and has lost its luster but it doesn’t have to be that way anymore. If you purchase a titanium wedding band it will be abrasion resistant and will hold up well over the years.

Titanium was discovered roughly two hundred years ago and named after the mythological deities The Titans. Titanium is a very strong a lightweight metal. In the past, titanium was mostly associated with the space and medical fields but just recently has been made into jewelry. A titanium wedding band would be ideal for those who have sensitive skin because it is completely hypoallergenic. Because of how strong the metal is a titanium wedding band would be good for those who deal with heavy machinery or have jobs that tend to be very hard on gold, silver, platinum, and other metals.

The cost of the titanium wedding band seems to be a bit less than the other metals. Even with diamonds in the band, it seems the titanium wedding band seems to stay in the few hundred-dollar range. Of course, if you start adding gold of platinum inlay with diamonds you can get a very pricey ring. But, if you compare the titanium band to a band made of gold or platinum you’ll see that they are slightly cheaper in general, but are just as beautiful and even more durable.

Many fashion experts tell consumers to stay away from trends in jewelry, as they don’t last long at all, but when it comes to a wedding band, you should get what you like.
