Birmingham England Hotels

by Peter Sylvester

Where do you stay when you go to the UK? Birmingham. England hotels are renowned for their hospitality and Birmingham - the second City - has as much a choice as you could wish for.

There are four star hotels with up-to-date technical connections right in Birmingham’s vibrant centre - or there are four star hotels in leafy elite Edgbaston.

Birmingham England hotels are of the highest quality.

Or you can choose a more modest hotel in Great Barr, Hall Green or near the Birmingham airport.

Birmingham England Hotels are Central

You can find anything you want in Birmingham. England hotels offer you a small country with a vast heritage.

Tourists often overlook the country’s Second City.

For instance, Birmingham has more trees than any other European country and more canals than Venice!

The cafes, restaurants, bars and nightlife which have resulted from a massive urban regeneration over the years adds to the already huge and growing shopping facilities.

Birmingham continues to grow and develop.

And, of course, being central, nowhere in England is too far to reach easily.

Birmingham England Hotels - Attractions

Let us consider a few of the very special Birmingham (or ‘Brummie’ as the natives say) attractions.

The Museum of Science and Industry is the focal point of that huge and world important movement - the Industrial Revolution.

From nail making to car production the museum depicts Birmingham’s rise to importance and pays tribute to the great men closely associated with the industrial development - men like James Watt and Matthew Boulton.

And you must visit the Jewellery Quarter where even today, little men in little rooms produce the finest gold and silver pieces in the world.

The Barber Institute of Fine Arts is another place to visit. It was bequeathed to Birmingham University and is one of the countries finest collections of twentieth century Arts.

And, Warwick Castle, twenty miles down the road, is a must for all lovers of medieval life and architecture. You will be shown warfare in all its forms. The castle is still redolent with the splendour - and the barbarities of life through the ages.

Oh - and finally - are you a Star Trek fan? Then look no farther in your Birmingham England hotels journey than The National Exhibition centre which among a myriad of events - puts on Star Trek Conventions.

Birmingham England Hotels - Conclusion

Your enjoyment of England can have no finer base than Birmingham, England. Hotels are many and varied and whether its business or pleasure you won’t regret your stay.
