In today’s society, it seems as though everyone is obsessed with losing weight, but there are people who actually want and need to know how to gain weight.

Being underweight is just as unhealthy as being overweight. It can lead to health problems such as anemia, bone loss, and heart irregularities. That’s why it is so important to find your healthy body weight and try to stay around that number. Here is a site that can help you find your ideal body weight.

Another group that wants to know how to gain weight are body builders. Their goal isn’t necessarily to just gain weight in pounds, but rather in muscle mass.

Obviously, the easiest way to gain weight is just gorging yourself on fat and sugar filled foods. But that is an unhealthy and reckless way to do it. Take the time to review how many calories you eat in a day. Then, take that number and increase by 500-1000 calories. Now, like I said earlier, don’t increase your food intake with greasy potato chips and hamburgers. You should add some grilled chicken breast, tuna fish, and all-natural peanut butter to your diet. Those foods will help with the weight gain, but not clog your arteries. Try to have 5-6 small meals throughout the day rather than the standard 3 large meals. This technique will help keep a constant flow of nutrients going in your body. That's one part of how to gain weight.

How to Gain Weight Tip #2-Add resistance training to your workout routine

In order to gain weight(and increase muscle mass), you have to add resistance training to your workout routine. I’m not saying you should go out and try to increase your lifts by 100 pounds. All you need to do is make your routine just a little tougher here and there. Maybe add 5 pounds to your dumbbells, or wear some ankle weights while you are doing a cardio session. It may not seem like much, but it will help in the long run.

How to Gain Weight Tip #3-Use some nutritional supplements

Adding supplements will help you achieve a healthy weight gain more easily. You don't need to go out and spend fifty dollars on some miracle pill or shake that promises to “bulk you up in two weeks”. Supplements like that are garbage.
