Drama Orange County Chopper Style!

Orange County Chopper is a new television show raking in viewers in record numbers on the cable Discovery channel. Orange County Chopper follows a crew of customer bike designers as they take on new clients, brainstorm designs, and then actually build the bike or, as the name of the show indicates, chopper. The dynamic between the Orange County Chopper staff is playful, but also very intense at times.

Orange County Chopper is actually the name of the company founded by Paul Teutul Sr. in 1999. Paul Sr. actually had thirty years of iron working experience before turning to the custom bike scene for something different to do for a living. Teutul built his first custom bike in his garage in 1999 and named it True Blue. Orange County Chopper is located in Rock Tavern, New York and typically designs and builds one hundred and fifty custom bikes per year.

Orange County Chopper is sort of like a soap opera for men and women with its exciting and happy moments, and also its very intense and heated moments between “the boss” Paul Sr. and the other employees on the show: Paul Jr., Mikey, Vinnie, Christian, and Nick. Paul Sr. is quite the hot head from time to time, and especially Paul Jr. doesn’t seem to back off when he feels strongly about something. The two often yell, fight, and sometimes there are things thrown at floors and walls! This isn’t your ordinary mechanics garage - there is drama here! This drama is what lends well to the reality television format the Discovery Channel has capitalized on here.

If you haven’t heard of Orange County Chopper you’ve got to come out from the rock you have been hiding under every now and again! The show has been a big hit for the Discovery Channel and Paul Sr., Paul Jr., Mikey, Vinnie, and Nick have become celebrities of sorts. Of course, the show has been good for business, as it has made Orange County Chopper a household name. American Iron named Orange County Chopper one of the top twelve builders of 2002! If you’re interested in viewing an Orange County Chopper episode, check your local Discovery listings. Beware! This reality based show has some addictive qualities!

Orange County Chopper is such a big hit that related merchandise has been selling like crazy! Major retailers have started to carry the Chopper merchandise and fans are excited about it being so widely available. T-shirt, boxers, hats, and pants are just some of the many items you can get with the Chopper logo printed on them!

Even if you aren’t interested in ironwork, or building custom choppers, this show will become a favorite and you can actually learn a lot about the business, and enjoy the hot and cold interactions between this crew of guys!
