The Best Vitamin for Energy
by Patrick Austin |
Many people look for something besides a vitamin for energy...
to perk them up and keep them energized for the entire day. Caffeine
is a popular energy booster, but it can come with side effects.
For example, if you have too much caffeine, you can develop jitters.
Furthermore, there have been studies showing long term consumption
of caffeine could possibly lead to nerve damage.
If youd like a more natural and safe pick-me-up, try the
B vitamin group. This is a great vitamin for energy. Not only
is it a great vitamin for energy, it is also capable of helping
to prevent many diseases, because B-vitamins repair nucleic acids
and immune cells.
We consume foods fortified with vitamin B, but the typical American
diet high in processed foods gives us only a fraction of the B-vitamins
we need for good health and energy.
Keep this in mind: you can get serious health problems if you
lack B vitamins. They are easily flushed out of the body, and
people on weight-loss diets, alcoholics or those who take antibiotics
are even more prone to having vitamin B deficiency.
The B vitamin group consists of B1, B2(Riboflavin), B3(Niacin),
B5(Pantothenic Acid), B6(Pyridoxine Hydrochloride HCI), B9(Folic
Acid), B12, PABA, and Inositol. They work together, similar to
a chorus or band. Many people supplement with just one of two,
but you wont be getting the full benefit of the B vitamin
for energy unless you take them together. In fact, taking too
much of one particular B vitamin could hurt rather than help.
Your body needs a balance of all these vitamins. Taking one more
than the others will lead to an imbalance and potentially damage
your system.
If youd like to try vitamin B and use the vitamin for energy,
go to your local health food store, CVS, or Rite Aid and purchase
a bottle of B-Complex. Its inexpensive, ranging
from 5.00-12.00 for a bottle of 90-120 capsules. Or, you can order
them online.
