Why a Craftsman Tool?
The reason for getting a Craftsman tool is a no brainer – over 75 years of quality, made in America, and of course, the guarantee on Craftsman hand tools to last forever. There are dozens of things a Craftsman tool is good for – from minor repairs to huge projects. There is a Craftsman tool for just about everything, from mechanics tools to air compressors. But you probably already know what a good Craftsman tool can do.

Save a Marriage
Yep – it’s true. A Craftsman tool can and has saved many a marriage. If you think I’m exaggerating, think about all the repairs that would go undone if a Craftsman tool wasn’t there to fix’em. Loose doorknobs, falling apart closet shelving, the list could go on and on of minor annoyances, to say nothing of major repairs or renovations. Talk about putting strain on a couple!
Just imagine, the scenario might go something like this…Harried wife asks her husband to (pu-leez) fix the loose hinge on the bathroom door (or vice versa, I’m not sexist, it’s just that a higher percentage of guys do household maintenance). She hands him a shiny Craftsman tool to get the job done. The husband, elated at the gift of a new Craftsman tool, proceeds to fix the door and whistles while he does several other household repairs. Then the couple relaxes and watches the evening news while the little ones play…Okay, maybe that’s a little too Ward and June Cleaveresque for real life, but you get the idea.
Of course, many a Craftsman tool may have contributed to marital conflict as well… for instance when the Sears credit card bill shows up in the mail with multiple Craftsman tool purchases on it…

It’s true. You can use a Craftsman tool to create designs and fancy swirls in frosting. You’ll look like a professional baker.
Get You to an Appointment on Time
Late for an appointment and the rusty lock on the garage is stuck? Smash it apart with whatever Craftsman tool you can grab. They’re guaranteed forever, right? (Er, maybe not. There’s probably a clause for deliberate and intentional misuse of a Craftsman tool that voids the lifetime warranty… but hey, you’ll be to your appointment on time).

Even your VCR. Believe me, our two-year old’s tried putting everything under the sun into our VCR. But a Craftsman tool, that’s going to come out of the VCR a lot better than the mangled Winnie the Pooh tape behind it. Hey, maybe you can even fix the VCR once you get the tool out!

I’ll admit that I’ve never tried this one. But don’t you think the participants of Survivor would give anything for a Craftsman tool to try? Or to split coconuts, at least.
