It is money well spent.

Holiday Inn Cambridge - THE UNIVERSITY
Take a few days to wander round the university colleges and drink in the atmosphere.
You will have heard the Christmas Carols from Kings College but a whole new experience unfolds when you enter the impressive portals if the building itself.
Quiet Queens is another hidden treasure where, incidentally, a cousin of mine spent glorious years as a maintenance servant to the college. Humble - but satisfied.
Emmanuel, Downing College, St Catherine’s (where Sir Ian Mckellen was an undergraduate), St John’s - the names are many and illustrious.
And, of course, you cannot fail to hire a punt and travel up the cam - where yearly the ‘Bumps’ races take place between colleges. If you have never punted it’s a treat in store.
Holiday Inn Cambridge - FARTHER AFIELD
Ten miles away Duxford Imperial War Museum merit’s a visit - as does Newmarket - the home of British horse racing.
Ely Cathedral, the Fitzwilliam Museum and Thetford Forest all offer different attractions.
Cambridge is not just a city with a university - but the centre of a fascinating and stimulating world around.
Holiday Inn Cambridge is an excellent stopping point to take a rest and absorb British culture at its best.
