Polly Pocket Game
by Amy Finley
The Polly Pocket game, doll, and toy sets are cute and fun. My seven-year-old daughter and her friends love Polly Pocket. There are a lot of reasons why Polly Pocket continues to rise in popularity among girls in the 5 to 9 year old age range – the tiny size of the dolls (they’re just so darn cute!), wide range of sets, items, and accessories, and the Polly Pocket game, doll, and toy themes are fun and interesting for young girls.
Super Splash Island Polly Pocket Game
The Super Splash Island Polly Pocket Game is for Gameboy Advance. It’s a water park adventure game where the player (or players – you can put it in 2 person mode) plays mini games to win tickets and be able to advance to the giant water slide. The Super Splash Island Polly Pocket game has three levels of difficulty, so kids can replay and try to beat the harder levels (a good tool for encouraging them to do their personal best). There are also dressing rooms that reveal fun with Polly Pocket fashions when unlocked.
Fashion Beach Polly Pocket Game
The Fashion Beach Polly Pocket game is a board game based on the crux of Polly Pocket – fun, friends, and of course, fashion. In this Polly Pocket game, Polly and friends are invited to a party, and they have to shop until they find the right beach clothes that match their cards. Whoever finishes (gets to the SUV) first is the winner. One of the cool things about this game is that you actually get to dress the dolls as you play.
Whether she realizes it or not, playing the Fashion Beach Polly Pocket game is also a learning experience for girls – the skills used to match the coordinating clothing are rooted in implementing organizational strategy, an important ability to hone. Additionally, as in playing with Polly dolls and toy accessories, her imagination is being encouraged to thrive.
With the Fashion Beach Polly Pocket game, another bonus is that you get a free DVD (Polly’s first movie) when you buy the game. Both Super Splash Island and the Fashion Beach game are available at department stores, or shop online to find great prices. Either Polly Pocket game makes a great gift.
Play a Polly Pocket Game Online
At the ‘Everything Girl’ website, there are a variety of free online Polly Pocket game options. Explore Polly’s World Park, Polly’s Garden, Polly’s House, the Polly Mall, and Polly Paradise. Most of the games are pretty straightforward, but the cool thing is that kids can play them over and over again because it isn’t the same every time.
For example, in one of the Polly Pocket game options, the ‘Kooky Kitchen,’ kids find the stuff that’s out of place in Polly’s kitchen and click on it to put it back or get rid of it. If you want to play again, though, they’ll be different things wrong or different items to find in different places.
Virtual Polly is Nice, But Girls Want the Real Thing
While the online Polly Pocket game site is cool, most girls want real Polly’s, too. There are many sets to choose from, and you can buy mini sets with just a few accessories or bigger sets, some that have special extras for your little Polly princess (like the Polly Pocket Spa set – comes with real lip gloss).
One thing we learned after we bought my daughter’s first Polly Pocket – buy more than one! That way, when a girl’s friends come over, they all have a Polly Pocket to play with.
When you buy a Polly Pocket game, doll, or toy, you’re giving a little girl a gift she’s going to love!
