September "Being Well"
Canceled due to Tragedy
September 13, 2001
Dear Friends,
You may have noticed the September issue of Being
Well is late...
After yesterday's tragedy, I have decided that,
instead, I would rather tell you that my heart and prayers are
with you, and to ask that you pray (in your own way) for comfort
and healing for families and friends of the victims, for peace
in our nation and around the world, and for safety. We Americans
enjoy a great many luxuries in our freedom, and as long as it
is not at the expense of others, I would love to see that continue.
I hope that you can take a few minutes to pray for healing, resolution,
and peace. Please join me in taking this greatest action on the
behalf of all people.
Thank you, and may God bless us all,
Brian

Hi Brian,
Thanks for this e-mail. I really
enjoyed meeting you in August. Yes, I will continue to pray for
all the many, many people affected by this week's incidents. This
week has truly been one I know I won't forget.
Blessings, Karen D.
Hi Brian!
This was a very beautiful message
in its eloquence and purpose. I have a hard time understanding
why this would happen and how the families whose loved ones are
missing, or worse, are coping with this disaster. All I can say
is that I am deeply saddened by the tragedies of this past week.
Each time I see pictures, or hear more stories of those directly
affected by the disasters, my eyes fill with tears and my heart
aches.
On the other hand, I am overjoyed
at the response of Americans close to me and from all over the
country. I have witnessed a great deal of renewed patriotism,
kindness and a solidarity that has been lacking for seom time.
Throughout the world, people are waking to realize that there
is much more value to life and humanity than we usually consider.
It is a great wake up call. It saddens me that so many had to
suffer for it. I suppose we will all just have to wait and see
what happens next and hope and pray that things are resolved in
as timely and peaceful a manner as they can be.
Love, Kim C.
Our prayers are with you also. The
only hope for this nation is to get back to God.
Love Ya! Linda
