A Vienna Tour is good for lots of fun

Who wouldn’t want to take a Vienna tour? Vienna is known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Vienna has many beautiful buildings and the architecture is thousands of years old.

There are dozens of different types of Vienna tour that you can choose from. Depending upon your age and body type should dictate somewhat of what type of Vienna tour you will choose. There’s full blown escorted tours, partially escorted tours, bus tours, bike tours, and walking tours to name a few. If you can’t handle being on your feet all day and walking a lot, then a walking Vienna tour would not be for you.

Vienna is known for its classical music, and many musicians were born and lived there. One stop on your Vienna tour that is a must is the Vienna Opera house. Mahler, Strauss, Krauss and von Karajan are directors that have performed there. The famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg, but died in Vienna in 1791.

There are many palaces that you can visit on your Vienna tour. One of them is the Belvedere Palace, which was built in 1721-1722 when Prince Eugene Savoy, during the war against the Turks asked John Lukas von Hildebrandt to construct a summer palace, but he never actually lived there. Another palace stop on your Vienna tour might be the Imperial Palace. The Imperial Palace was the residence of Emperor’s, the Hapsburg’s, whose empire lasted until 1918. There are four different wings to explore, each built during a different century.

Depending upon what you want to see, your Vienna tour should take at least two days at a minimum. If you want to visit museums, go to the opera, classical music concert, etc, then you’ll want to spend much more time here.

There are, of course, many Vienna tour operators for you to choose from when planning your Vienna tour. One of them, Van Gogh tours, offers uniquely European Bicycle & walking tours for Vienna and Europe. They have enthusiastic guides, superior service, distinctive lodgings, smaller groups and great prices.

Archers Direct is another Vienna tour operator offering a wide range of escorted coach tours from Britain which includes sightseeing and scenery, and also stops at other countries in Europe, or to Vienna solely.
