Erectile Dysfunction and Chinese Medicine
Yang
|
In Oriental
Medical theory yang qi is the most active, masculine, virile aspect of life
that exists. The physical manifestation of healthy yang qi
is the erection and erectile function. If the symptoms you
experience are difficulty in getting and maintaining erection
or premature ejaculation, nocturnal emission wet dreams) or
spermatorrhea (dribbling of semen), Oriental medicine would
focus their treatment on the yang or active qi function of
the Kidneys. The use of the word Kidney here refers not to
the Western anatomical kidneys, but the OM concept of the
Kidney system. |
YIN
|
There is
always another side to the story - in traditional Chinese
medicine, the yin aspect must be sufficient for adequate fertility, sperm
production and quality. Difficulty with ejaculation, premature
ejaculation, difficulty maintaining an erection, unusual sensations
with ejaculation and infertility are among the symptoms one
might experience if the yin aspect of the body is affected. |
