Dell Dimension 2350

The Dell Dimension 2350 is an affordable and expandable system that’s perfect for small business users who want to run basic multimedia and business applications.
For an entry level price of around $500, the Dell Dimension 2350 can be yours. Besides the very affordable price, this computer has a lot of nice features for starters. The Dell Dimension 2350 comes with Microsoft Windows XP home edition, 48X CD/ROM and a DVD drive, Intel Celeron processor with 2.20GHz speed, 128MB DDR SDRAM, 60GB Ultra ATA/100 hard drive, and a 17-inch flat screen Dell monitor. The memory can be upgraded to a Pentium 4 prior to shipping.
Design of the Dell Dimension 2350 is very utilitarian and sleek with a black case with a midnight gray face panel. It does not have the easy open hinged case and tool less like the higher priced Dell lines.
Some of the business software included with the Dell Dimension 2350 is Corel WordPerfect Office Suite for business work, Quicken New User Edition to keep track of finances, and Paint Shop Pro 7 for editing digital photos.
With a minitower case, the Dell Dimension 2350 upgrading capabilities are somewhat limited. With CD-ROM and CD-RW drives installed, it doesn’t have any open drive bays. Since it has an integrated graphics with no AGP slot, you’ll have to use a PCI graphics card should you want to upgrade later on. It does, however, include a free socked for additional memory and two PCI slots for adapter cards.
For installation and troubleshooting issues, the Dell Dimension 2350 is top notch. It offers a wealth of information provided in the documentation which includes a setup poster, and a model specific manual dedicated to servicing and troubleshooting basic problems.
Bundled with the Dell Dimension 2350 are Harman-Kardon HK 206 speakers, which produce fine sound. Though a bit tinny through some of the high and low ranges, it serves its purpose for this price category and will surely suffice for the average user.
For an entry level business computer, the Dell Dimension 2350 is a great fit. If you’re looking for more of a gaming type computer, you may want to look at a higher end system with a better graphics card and driver.
All in all, the Dell Dimension 2350 is a great value for a price between $500 and $1000 dollars, depending on what processor you choose. If you’re looking for a good entry level system for your business, this may be your best bet.
