Hotel Charlotte North Carolina
by Dr. John Luton
If you’re looking for a fine hotel, Charlotte, North Carolina has more accommodations than you can shake a stick at. You’ll forgive that old Southern expression, but I’m a born-and-bred North Carolinian with tar on my shoes. Whenever I think about Charlotte, I can’t help but think about all those rich southern traditions and modern conveniences of North Carolina’s Queen City. Throughout its long and cultured history, Charlotte has developed a perfect blend of both.
If you’re looking for just the right hotel, Charlotte, North Carolina makes it easy.
Why? Well for starters, Charlotte has at least 37,000 hotel rooms. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in Charlotte, you need to look again – it’s definitely there. No matter what your taste (or budget) happens to be, you’re sure to find accommodations that are perfectly suited to you or your family’s needs. Without a doubt, if you’re searching for a great hotel, Charlotte North Carolina is the place to go.
But you’ll find more than a fine hotel. Charlotte, North Carolina is a favorite travel destination.
Now, if you’re looking for something to do once you’ve made your hotel reservation, you need to be aware that Charlotte is also our state’s number one travel destination. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a sports fan, a shop-‘till-you-drop enthusiast, or a connoisseur of fine dining, Charlotte has something for everyone. Let’s see, what would you like to do first?
Within easy distance to your hotel, Charlotte, North Carolina has so much to offer.
For you racing fans, you can visit Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Charlotte’s hub of NASCAR racing. Okay, the raceway is actually in South Concord, just a few miles outside Charlotte. Choose a hotel on the outskirts of town, and you’ll be close enough to hear the roar of the racecars as the drivers fire up their engines.
And when you book your hotel, Charlotte, North Carolina offers great ticket deals – just in case you’re in the mood for some exciting downtown entertainment.
Want to see some great football – NFL style? You’ll want to make sure you get a hotel that’s close to Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers. An even dozen of Charlotte’s great hotels are within 1.5 miles of the stadium. I’ve got to warn you though – the Panthers are not known to extend the usual measure of Southern hospitality to their opponents. But you already knew that, I’ll bet. They are one fierce football team, and right now they’re gearing up for a winning season. If you’re a football fan, you won’t want to miss any of the great action.
As you’ll discover when you arrive at your hotel, Charlotte, North Carolina has a few new “cats” in town.
The new “cats” in town – the Charlotte Bobcats – will provide all the basketball excitement you can imagine. Again, choose a great downtown hotel and you’ll be minutes away from that wonderful sound that a basketball makes when it’s being dribbled down the court. You basketball folks know what I mean! Bobcats fans are really excited about the opening of the new Charlotte Arena, just in time for the Bobcats’ 2005-2006 season.
Table for two? You’ll find a number of fine restaurants right in your hotel. Charlotte, North Carolina is a great place for fine dining.
While many of the great Charlotte hotels host their own dining facilities, you’ll also want to check out some of the more than 130 restaurants in the metropolitan area. Whether you have a taste for American, Italian, Mexican or a variety of other fares, your taste buds are in for a tantalizing culinary treat they’ll never forget.
Okay, let’s see … a variety of sports venues, dining that’s sure to please, shopping opportunities. I feel like I must be leaving something out…
Oh, that’s right – hotel reservations! Hey, that’s where you come in.
Better go ahead and reserve your hotel. Charlotte, North Carolina – and all the good stuff we’ve been talking about – is waiting just for you!
