Kath Bartlett, L. Ac.
is the owner of the Asheville Center for Chinese Medicine. Kath practices in a traditional Chinese style incorporating acupuncture, herbal medicine, eastern clinical nutrition, lifestyle counseling and Chinese bodywork therapy to treat a wide variety of health problems. Conditions that Kath has gotten especially good results include back, neck and knee pain, headaches, sinus problems, chronic bronchitis, hot flashes, PMS, menstrual pain, heartburn, bowel problems, non-responsive excema, fibromyalgia, and catarracts.

Kath relocated her practice to Asheville from San Diego, California. There, she practiced in conjunction with University of California, San Diego Medical School in multiple settings, including the Owen's Clinic for HIV+ at Mercy Hospital, and the UCSD/Lutheran Church Free Geriatric Clinic. Kath writes a monthly column about acupuncture for Rapid River Magazine and is a contributing writer for Whole Health News and The Pulse of Oriental Medicine magazines. Kath frequently lectures about Chinese medicine at various colleges and civic organizations, including the MAHEC Residency Program, A&B Technical College, UNCA's College for Seniors, and Wofford College in Spartenburg, SC. Kath has appeared as a featured guest on the "Health Watch" segment of KUSI News in San Diego.

Kath earned her Masters of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, consistently ranked in the top three acupuncture colleges in the United States. She holds diplomas in acupuncture and herbology from the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Kath completed advance studies of the classics texts of Chinese medical theory with Dr. Min Fan, formally of Bei Jing University. Currently, she is completing Advanced Practitioner Training from the Institute of Chinese Herbology in Oakland, California. Kath received her Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA. She is a member of the North Carolina Association Of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
