If you need a good restaurant, Houston is the place to be!

If you are looking for a great restaurant, Houston would be your city! For many years now Houston has been considered one of the “fattest cities” in the United States! You know why, right?! Because we have so many delicious restaurants tempting us with their good eats! Out of all the places I have been to or lived in, I have never seen a place that has as many restaurants as Houston does! It doesn’t matter the type of restaurant, Houston has it for sure!

Of course, the population of the city is the reason for many a restaurant, Houston is the fourth largest city in the United States! So, there are a lot of hungry bellies to feed, which is why I suppose the restaurant business is really thriving in Houston. A restaurant Houston knows about never has an empty parking lot!

This is not a city that just wants one type of restaurant, Houston is a melting pot of so many different people and cultures that pretty much anything that is tasty will succeed here! We aren’t too picky at all. Of course, finding a niche will help a restaurant succeed long term. But, because of the location of Houston, all kinds of foods are popular. Much of the food has a Mexican flair because of our proximity to Mexico. There is a lot of food with a Cajun touch because Louisiana is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. There is a huge influence of American food because it is Texas, after all! It’s cattle country, so steak, BBQ joints, and burgers are all very popular. We also have a fairly large Asian population, so you can find some really good Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, or Thai food.

Locating a good restaurant is easy! If you drive around, you’ll see something good. If you’re at home looking for a restaurant, Houston phone books can help out a lot. It may take you some time to get through the listings, but it’s almost impossible for you not to find a great restaurant near you. I’ve lived in Houston for more than two years and every time I go out I see more restaurants I want to try! There is so much in the way of variety that you can never get bored. And, there are always new restaurants coming in! If you like to eat, Houston is the place to be!
