Sex, sex, sex

If you came here looking for a way to improve a promiscuous sex life, forget it. Go to some other website - there are plenty of websites that will be happy to take your money by selling you some other company's sex stimulation products. I'm not convinced those products work, and I suspect some of them will cause you even more problems.

This page is different. Here, we focus on self-care, herbs, nutrition, and vitamins for womens sexual health problems - GYN problems - you know, the kinds of things that go wrong with a woman's reproductive system - medical and health problems. And we talk about ways to solve them besides drugs. Natural solutions to womens sexual health problems.

Here are some other articles if you're not sure about what I just said:

Ok, here's one for those of you who are married, having responsible sex, got pregnant, and now have questions about sex during pregnancy: "Sex during pregnancy."

On to the Real Deal Womens Sexual Health Problems:

Here I'm going to cover 7 big womens sexual health problems:

1. UTI's (urinary tract infections)
2. Breast distention (painful breasts)
3. Bleeding between periods (menorrhagia, and metrorraghia)
4. Infertility
5. Missed periods not due to pregnancy (amenorrhea)
6. Painful periods (dysmenorrhea)
7. Menstrual cramps and PMS

If you have some other problem we haven't addressed, check out these high quality, reliable health resources on the web (or email me):

So here we go!

(NOTE: If some suggestions don't have links, you may have to shop for them in your local health foods store.)

Womens Sexual Health Problem #1: Urinary Tract Infections

I've done a separate page on this one. Go here to see it.

Womens Sexual Health Problem #2: Painful Breasts

To start off right, check out this phenomenal breast problem flowchart from FamilyDoctor.org. It'll help you narrow down what the problem is.

If you're not pregnant, don't have breast lumps, don't have a sore on your breast, and aren't breast feeding, then the following alternatives may help you:

  • Wild Yam Root, 3 times daily after meals
  • Ginger Root supplements, or ginger tea compress (boil fresh ginger into a tea, let cool to warm temp, then soak a towel in it)
  • Green Tea Extract, or if as tea, only decaffeinated kind
  • Kelp, 2oz (50gm), eat as a food in one serving, once per week
  • Kudzu tablets, 10mg 3 times daily
  • Soy isoflavone concentrate tablets, 3000mg per day
  • Vitex Elixir tincture, 1.5 tsp in 1.4 cup water 3 times daily, or Vitex Fruit capsules
  • Dandelion Root supplements

Womens Sexual Health Problem #3: Bleeding between period

This one has its own webpage.

Womens Sexual Health Problem #4: Infertility

I've covered this one in depth elsewhere. See these links:

Womens Sexual Health Problem #5: Missed Period Not Pregnant

See this wonderful article about Amenorrhea (missed periods) from the Mayo Clinic.

If you're not pregnant, underweight, or having a thyroid or pituitary problem, then you may have a deficiency of blood, or blood stagnation... consider these alternatives:

Womens Sexual Health Problem #6: Painful period

Anti-spasmodics that may alleviate cramps:

  • Angelica root
  • Cramp bark
